Abstract

An Integrated Data Management System (IDMS) in Power Plant Control is described. It incorporates variety of data manipulation at different hierarchical levels in order to provide in optimal way relevant and accurate information. The sources of hierarchical situated data are (i) particular data processing and (ii) basic data transformations such as control, alarming, modeling, forecasting, optimization, decision making, monitoring, performance analysis, diagnostics. IDMS is multiuser with concurrent data updating, retrieving and storing as well converting higher level data into knowledge. A number of examples relevant to low-rank lignite fired boilers are presented.
