Abstract
IIED-América Latina is an independent, international non-profit institution, based in Buenos Aires. It undertakes research, training, and the design and implementation of development projects; and also provides technical advice to national governments and international agencies. This NGO profile describes these activities and IIED-América Latina's annual programme of seminars and publications (which includes its quarterly journal Medio Ambiente y Urbanización). There are also sections describing its funding sources and a final section which summarizes the work of the Human Settlements Programme run jointly by IIED-América Latina and IIED's London office.
