Abstract

The most topical issues in the social sciences of the existence and further development of unrecognized and partially recognized states are considered. Based on the content analysis, a qualitative and quantitative assessment of documents for planning and implementing the strategic development of states was carried out. The dependence of the formation and functioning of the institutional mechanism of socio-economic development of the partially recognized state - the Republic of South Ossetia on the legal framework of its key partner state - the Russian Federation is shown. The mechanisms of self-development of a partially recognized state are presented, considered in the context of the dependence theory. The results of the study can be used in assessing the dynamics and trends of the socio-economic development of the Republic of South Ossetia.
