Abstract

It is shown that the dispersive Shukla mode (2003 Phys. Lett. A 316 238) can become unstable in the presence of opposing density and electron temperature gradients in a dusty magnetoplasma. The growth rate of the oscillatory instability is obtained. The present instability should account for nonthermal low-frequency electromagnetic waves in interstellar dusty molecular clouds.
