Abstract

A new spherically symmetric exact solution of Einstein gravity in the presence of a nonlinear electromagnetic field is introduced. It is shown that such a solution can be interpreted as an electrically charged regular black hole that behaves like Reissner−Nordström metric, asymptotically. An extension of the solution in the presence of cosmological constant is presented and thermodynamic properties of the solution are studied in the extended phase space thermodynamics. Then, thermal stability and possible phase transition are investigated and the van der Waals like behavior is observed. Finally, the relation between the photon sphere with a thermodynamic phase transition is studied.
