Abstract

Recently, many efforts have been devoted to mechanism studies on the luminescence nature of aggregation-induced emission (AIE) fluorophores. In article number 2100832, to disclose the connotation of the restrictions of intramolecular motions (RIM) theory, Wenbin Zeng and co-workers systematically summarize the advances of luminescence quenching mechanisms for AIE molecules. These insights are of great significance for fundamental understanding of the character of optical molecules.
