Abstract

Low latency, real-time interaction, geographical distribution, heterogeneity, and wireless access are some characteristics required in the medical/healthcare system for providing better Quality of Services (QoS). This was satisfied by the new emerging term Fog Computing. Internet of Technology (IoT) technology brings many challenges along with facilities it provides. Initially, Cloud computing was used to store data but due to many provocations an intermediate layer namely Fog layer is introduced. Fog computing is the joining layer between connected edge devices and the cloud in the IoT. Where Cloud services lack to provide enough benefits in IoT, Fog layer suffice all that services. This paper scrutinizes the implemented work based on the application, hardware, and software used.
