PurposeComments upon leading UK specialist software development teams which have been recognized by this year's MacRobert Award.Design/methodology/approachThe overall award is presented annually for the demonstration of engineering excellence and innovation with proven commercial outcomes and benefits to the community.FindingsThe overall award went to Process Systems Enterprise (PSE) Limited for its advanced process modeling software. Transitive Limited, with its technology that aims to allow any software application to work on any hardware platform was one of the three other finalists; which also included Intelligent Orthopaedics Ltd and Roger Bullivant Limited.Originality/valueA demonstration of engineering excellence and innovation with proven commercial outcomes and benefits to the community.
