Abstract
In a previous paper by the author (Math. Comput. Modelling32 (2000), 507–527, Linear Hamiltonian systems on time scales. Positivity of quadratic functionals) a unified theory for continuous (T=R) and discrete (T=Z) linear Hamiltonian systems on an arbitrary time scale T is developed. In particular, it is stated that disconjugacy of the Hamiltonian system is a sufficient condition for positivity of the corresponding (homogeneous) quadratic functional. In this paper we present a similar condition for quadratic functionals on time scales with general (inhomogeneous) boundary conditions.
