Abstract
Band separations (PR, PQ—QR, QQ) of calculated gas phase asymmetric top infrared band contours, using the rigid rotor approximation, are compared with the separations from the empirical relations. The calculated values were fit to a new relation, resulting in easy to use and accurate separation equations.
