Abstract

Beijing historical city has both history and life atmosphere, and undertakes modern urban functions such as commercial office, but with the improvement of residents’ living standards, commercial facilities can not meet the living needs and environmental requirements. The quantitative method of analyzing urban space is of great significance for studying the accessibility of commercial facilities. This paper takes the west area of Tiantan of Tianqiao Street, Xicheng District, Beijing, uses the spatial syntactic theory and research method, and quantitatively studies the accessibility of its commercial facilities from the commercial area, traffic and human flow. On this basis, combined with the accessibility of the commercial facilities and the commercial potential, discuss the planning and layout of the commercial facilities in the region, and analyze the commercial potential points combined with the field research, and put forward the corresponding improvement strategies. In order to provide new research methods and ideas for the planning and layout of commercial facilities in the historical urban areas.
