Abstract
The article analyzes the information security policy of the People's Republic of China. This policy is examined through the prism of the Chinese war tradition, due to a close relationship between Chinese policy and its strategic culture. This approach allows for taking a broader view of the information security policy and for understanding what lies behind China’s official statements and actions. In other words, Chinese traditional military thought helps to explore correlations between official stance of the People's Republic of China and its activity in the field of information security.
