Abstract
The field study on “Influence of various zinc and iron treatments on yield and yield attributes of pear millet” was carried out during kharif season of the year 2016 at College Agronomy Farm, B. A. College of Agriculture, Anand Agricultural University, Anand. The results of the experiment indicated that plant height at harvest was significantly higher with application of 25 kg ZnSO4 ha-1 + 1.5 kg Chelated Fe ha-1 (T9) resulted in 5.84 percent increase in plant height over control. The number of tillers meter-1 at 45 DAS, at harvest and number of effective tillers at harvest were not significantly altered due to different treatments of zinc and iron application. Significantly higher grain (3085 kg ha-1) and total yield (9266 kg ha-1) were obtained when 25 kg ZnSO4 ha-1 + 50 kg FeSO4 ha-1 (T10) applied followed by 1.5 kg Chelated Zn ha-1 + 50 kg FeSO4 ha-1 (T5). Treatment 1.5 kg Chelated Zn ha-1 + 50 kg FeSO4 ha-1 (T5) produced significantly higher straw yield followed by 25 kg ZnSO4 ha-1 + 50 kg FeSO4 ha-1 (T10).
