Abstract

The objective of this paper is to analyse the qualitative features of the engagement process for the case of proportional navigation pursuer with time delay. Non-linear kinematics of the relative motion are applied. The problem is to detennine maximal deviation of the duration of the approach under time delay in comparison with the duration of the approach without delay. With this purpose the time delay is considered as a perturbation variable. It is shown that the time delay may lead to either increasing and decreasing of the engagement time; the variable time delay, providing time-minimum value of the approach is calculated.
