Abstract
Road lighting is an important municipal facility which contributes to improving traffic transportation efficiency, guarantee traffic safety, benefit people's travel, and beautify city environments. This article provides a brief introduction on quality indexes of road lighting, covering road luminance, uniformity ratio of road illumination, glare restriction and lighting inductivity, among which includes each index's content and importance in road lighting, as well as factors which effect traffic safety. This article is written to improve the level of road lighting and the security of traffic.
