Abstract

This study presents the solution of an unsteady Arrhenius exothermic reaction where we reduced the exponential term to a power-law approximation. A numerical solution of the problem is obtained using shooting technique with second order Runge-Kuta scheme. It is shown that the temperature of the reactant depends on the power-law index. The temperature of the reactant increases as the power-law index increases. JONAMP Vol. 11 2007: pp. 545-548
