Abstract

We report the theoretical calculation of triple differential cross sections (TDCSs) for hydrogenic ions of nuclear charge (Z = 2 - 5) at 1000 eV. An analysis for the usual binary peak by a single collision and recoil peak by a double-binary collision in the coplanar asymmetric geometry is given. In particular, a forward peak, which is intense at Z = 4, is shown to be caused by another type of double-binary collision. The amplitude of binary, forward and recoil peaks depends strongly on nuclear charges and scattering angles.
