Abstract

This paper looks at patterns in the mechanical behaviour of plasticised poly(ether urethane ureas) over a wide range of relative air humidity values. In the presence of a plasticiser that lowers the solubility of rigid blocks in the flexible phase of the polymer, the stability of the mechanical characteristics of poly(ether urethane urea) with exposure to a humid atmosphere is shown to increase.
