Abstract

The charging operation is one of the four major blast-furnace (BF) smelting systems. The flow valve opening, chute angle, and chute rotating speed are the most important charging parameters in BF ironmaking. A method for determining the burden flow distribution area is proposed, and the coordinate transformation method is adopted to study the influence of charging parameters on the burden flow velocity and distribution at the end of the chute.
