Abstract

The role of hub or broker firms in interorganizational networks has triggered numerous researches. Recent public initiatives of local organizations networks have renewed the analyses of centred network management, involving diverse actors. Different broker roles are stressed by literature. The influence of broker characteristics, both individual and related to their context, on their roles is yet seldom considered. We study four French local networks in which broker profile - generalist or specialist - their belonging to a specific organization, as well as local network dynamics, could explain their roles. Broker selection and action context should therefore be further analyzed. [PUB ABSTRACT]
