Abstract

Abstract Winter applications of liquid commercial fertilizer to sport-fish ponds in Alabama failed to prevent infestations by filamentous algae and did not significantly influence production of sunfish (Lepomis spp.). Once phytoplankton blooms developed in May and June, filamentous algae disappeared.
