Abstract

The article sums up the experience having been gained during the exploitation of the serial industrial “Omega” plants for sapphire monocrystals growing. The testing made it possible to reveal the sufficient constructive drawbacks of the plants and to modernize their most important junctions. The modernization gave the opportunity to raise the productivity of the plants, to increase the size and to improve the quality of monocrystals, to considerably increase the term of the crystallization chamber and the termal junction service and to reduce the electroenergy expenditure for producing 1 kg of commodity output.
