Abstract

India’s first Moon lander is unlikely to have survived after crashing into the lunar surface last month. Launched by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) in July, Chandrayaan-2 – the country’s second Moon mission – consisted of an orbiter, lander and rover.
