Abstract

MILD electroshock is used as an aversive stimulus in many kinds of learning experiments with rats and mice. Some workers have correlated changes in brain RNA concentration with learning1–3 so it seemed of interest to isolate, as well as possible, the elements in a learning situation and to determine their contribution to the observed changes in RNA.
