Abstract
An in-situ observation method of growth or dissolution of crystals at high temperatures is briefly explained. As examples of the application of the method, metastable nucleation phenomena observed in silicate systems, and the effect of Cr upon nucleation behavior are analyzed. It was demonstrated that the interfacial energy term has the definitive effect upon nucleation behavior.
