Abstract

The change from diploma to degree courses in undergraduate physiotherapy education means that courses offered by schools of physiotherapy differ much more than in the past. This has increased the need for good communication between the academic (school) units and the fieldwork units where students gain their clinical experience. This article discusses the reasons why such communication is important and how communication may be facilitated by the introduction of fieldwork educators’ conferences.
