Abstract

This paper is devoted to improving the efficiency of the transformer rectifier unit for the aerospace area by the use of amorphous steel as a magnetic core and by the use of the heat-resistance wire. The selection of the optimal amorphous steel is made and the heat-resistance wire chosen. Numerical calculation of the transformer rectifier unit was made, the weight of winding and magnetic core and idling losses were defined. Computer modeling of electromagnetic processes was made to define the current and voltage amplitude and form. Computer modeling of thermal processes was made to check the temperature of the transformer rectifier unit heating. In the conclusion, the pilot study of the transformer rectifier unit was made to confirm the operability and efficiency.
