Abstract
Recent measurements of widths of resonant nuclear reactions indicate values lower than previously reported. New data are available for (p, γ) (p, αγ) and (p. α) nuclear reactions on some medium-mass elements, such as Na. Mg. Al, P. An improvement of the depth resolution concentration profile measurements follows. Applications of the “improved resonances” to biocompatible glasses will be presented in order to clarify the surface compositional changes afer treatment in different environments.
