Abstract

In this paper, an improved two-user cooperative diversity scheme is proposed, which combines coded cooperation with signal space diversity technique to improve the system diversity. The pairwise error probability (PEP) of the combined system over Nakagami-m fading channels is analyzed and an upper bound on the bit error probability (BEP) for MPSK signal is presented, illustrating that the diversity order can be increased up to twice the order of conventional coded cooperation. Finally, numerical results also show that the proposed scheme can offer great performance improvements in comparison with the conventional approaches.
