Abstract

The first step towards great leadership is to understand yourself as a leader, so it is important to reflect on your performance and seek feedback from others. Doing this will enable you to identify your areas of strength and any areas that need development. These can then be used to inform an individual leadership development plan, which can elevate your career progression and both personal and professional confidence, allowing you to become the highly effective leader or manager that today's veterinary profession requires.
