Abstract

Objectives: Immediate postpartum long-acting reversible contraception (LARC) hospital program implementation is complex and requires a committed multidisciplinary team. After New Mexico Medicaid approved reimbursement for immediate postpartum LARC, the New Mexico Perinatal Collaborative (NMPC) developed and introduced an evidence-based implementation program containing several components. We sought to evaluate the implementation process; our primary study outcome was time from NMPC program component introduction to rural hospital completion of the corresponding implementation step.
