  • Hernawati Susanti Samosir + 4 more

The requirement for recording financial information in a company is essential to pay attention to so that it becomes one of the primary needs to ensure the continuity of the establishment of a company or the running of an activity. The process of recording financial statements manually and separately makes the bookkeeping of an activity not recorded systematically. Information provided from unsystematic financial bookkeeping will result in related activities not achieving maximum results. Based on this, one of the cases requiring bookkeeping integrated with the whole process is the new student's admissions (PMB) of Del Institute of Technology. Registration of new students online and offline is still done separately by the PMB committee and the stand guard. Offline registration, which is still manually inputted using a spreadsheet, has a high risk of errors in the input process. In contrast, online registration is recorded directly in the current system (spmbapp.del.ac.id). The implementation of Odoo in the new student's admission system can integrate every process in the new student's admissions activity. The process can be represented through the modules available in Odoo to use the same data source to minimize possible errors. This study uses a qualitative description method that describes the quality of the research object, characteristics, and relationships between objects. The results of this study are in the form of the Odoo website, which accommodates the configuration of the event, sales, accounting modules, and the website on the IT Del new student's admission payment system.

The new student admission system currently running at JAMBI MEDAN PRIVATE VOCATIONAL SCHOOL still uses a manual system. Prospective students must come directly to the school to find out registration information, carry out the registration process and see the announcement of the selection results. This results in frequent queues at school during the admission schedule. From this problem, the author offers a solution in the form of a new student admissions information system built using a web-based programming language so that it can be accessed by prospective students via the internet network. The system development method used is waterfall. With a web-based admission system, the admission process will be easier and faster. Apart from that, reports can be generated automatically by the system. However, this system cannot send notifications using short messages, so for further research a notification system via short messages or SMS should be developed.

Government Policy on Student Admissions in Relation to the New Student Enrollment System from the Perspective of Legal Utility
  • Jul 30, 2025
  • Journal Corner of Education, Linguistics, and Literature
  • Reyhan Arisena Johan + 1 more

This research is motivated by the policy shift in Indonesia’s student admission system from the Zoning-Based New Student Admission System (PPDB) to the Residence-Based Student Admission System (SPMB), as regulated under Ministerial Regulation of Primary and Secondary Education No. 3 of 2025. This change emerged in response to various forms of malpractice, including falsification of domicile data, seat trading, illegal levies, and disparities in school quality across zones. From a legal perspective, the new policy is examined based on theprinciples of justice, legal certainty, and utilitarian usefulness particularly the principle of “the greatest happiness of the greatest number.” The study employs a normative juridical method with statutory and conceptual approaches, drawing from a literature review of relevant regulations and legal scholarship. The analysis reveals that the Student Admission System (SPMB) has adopted utilitarian principles—subsistence, abundance, security, and equity through the expansion of domicile, affirmative, and achievement admission quotas, as well as the integration of Dapodik (Education Data System) and Dukcapil (Civil Registry) to enhance transparency. However, the system still emphasizes administrative solutions, while structural challenges such as infrastructure inequality, teacher quality, and corrupt mentalities remain unresolved. In conclusion, the Student Admission System (SPMB) represents a transitional legal reform initiative that promises greater equity in access and accountability but has yet to address the root structural problems. It is recommended to strengthen legal sanctions against fraud, accelerate school infrastructure development, implement evidence-based evaluations with public participation, integrate ethical values into policymaking, and promote legal and social ethics literacy programs to reinforce the legitimacy and effectiveness of the Student Admission System (SPMB).

SMK Bhakti Pertiwi is one of the private Vocational Schools in Tangerang City, of course, as an educational institution, of course, it is also expected to keep up with technological developments, because for tens of years SMK Bhakti Pertiwi was established, new student data processing systems still use manual methods. As for some of the problems that are often faced by the new admissions committee when conducting a manual admission system include: Registration forms are often tucked / lost / wrong when placed in a folder that is in place so that when needed for re-registration it often takes time other than that it will cause delays in reporting, inaccurate recording of student data, especially those with somewhat similar names, etc. For this reason, the author tries to make a final assignment regarding the new student admission system at the Bhakti Pertiwi Vocational School, Tangerang City, which until now has not been computerized. Web-based information systems can be used as a means of improving the new student admission system. The utilization will facilitate a job such as recording, storing, searching and processing data faster so that the decisions taken are more appropriate, saving costs and time both for the committee and for the registrant
