Abstract

The paper describes a prototype implementation of a data management system primarily designed for technical applications. The system may be regarded as a superset of well-known data administration concepts like file systems and data base systems, both centralized and distributed. The basic idea is to enrich the concept of consistency supported in classical data base systems by a more flexible data distribution mechanism. The prototype allows to validate the basic concepts and is currently extended to a more powerful version.
