Implementation of quality management is very important for hospitals to improve processes, solve problems, and reduce variations and errors in service, including through the implementation of popular Total Quality Management (TQM) and Six Sigma (SS) as new quality management strategies to increase profitability, effectiveness and efficiency of the organization's operations to meet customer’s needs. This study aims to develop an integrated hospital quality management model from the practice of TQM and SS to provide synergy in improving hospital performance. The study design was cross sectional through a survey using a questionnaire on 863 respondents, namely all employees ranging from doctors to administrative personnel at 8 hospitals. The TQM and SS practice integration model identified as “Quality Management Alliance Model (QMA)” consists of 6 variable constructs, namely: Management Practice (MP); TQM Infrastructure Practice (IPTQM); SS Infrastructure Practice (IPSS); Core Practice TQM (CPTQM); Core Practice SS (CPSS); and Hospital Performance (KRS) with 12 structural equations hypothesized. Data analysis are performed using Structural Equation Model through 2 tests, namely analysis of measurement models using confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) second order approach and structural model analysis. The results of the first order confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) analysis, after issuing invalid indicators (SLF≤0.5 and t≤1.96), obtained constructs of latent variables with models fit, valid, and reliable. Then in the second order CFA analysis on the overall model after being simplified through LVS (latent variable score) the study obtained construct model fit, valid and reliable. The results of the structural model analysis obtained a model fit with 11 structural equations that are positively and significantly related (t> 1.96). This study proves that the QMA model is feasible and can be applied to measure the implementation of hospital quality management. Hospital management is recommended to implement the QMA Model optimally to improve performance.

Improving the quality of education is a strategic issue that is the main focus in the development of educational institutions in Indonesia. In the era of globalisation and digital transformation, educational institutions are faced with the demand to produce graduates who are not only academically excellent, but also adaptive to changes and community needs. One approach that has been widely studied to address these challenges is the application of educational quality management. This study aims to systematically review various studies that discuss the concept, implementation, and results of the application of educational quality management, with the main question being how the application of quality management contributes to improving the quality of educational institutions. This study uses a literature review method by searching for scientific articles from 2019 to 2025 accessed through Google Scholar and the Publish or Perish (PoP) application. The search was conducted using the keywords ‘educational quality management’, ‘quality implementation’, and ‘improvement of educational institution quality’. From the search results of 15 articles, five main articles were obtained and analysed in depth based on their relevance to the topic and contribution to the research focus. The results of the study revealed three main themes: first, quality management is implemented as a continuous improvement strategy that emphasises planning, implementation, evaluation, and follow-up on quality; second, transformational and collaborative leadership are determining factors in the successful implementation of quality management; third, the implementation of quality management has been proven to improve student academic achievement and the effectiveness of educational institutions. This study concludes that educational quality management plays a significant role in building a culture of quality, accountability, and professionalism among educators. Further research is recommended to explore models of digital and participatory quality management implementation in the context of 21st-century education.

This article focuses on responses of higher education institutions to governmental policy. We investigate the influence of organisational characteristics on the implementation of quality management in Hungarian higher education institutions. Our theoretical framework is based on organisational theories (resource dependency and neo-institutionalism), Allison’s models on organisational decision-making processes, and also addresses some of the more specific characteristics of higher education institutions. Our empirical investigation shows that organisational characteristics matter in policy implementation of quality management in Hungarian higher education. Certain organisational variables, viz. leaders’ commitment to the implementation process, the involvement of external consultants, institutional reputation, and bureaucratic and political decision-making processes have strong effects on the implementation of quality management. Characteristics particular to higher education institutions were much less influential.

Education quality management is an important agenda so that it continues to exist and be in demand by students from time to time. Current facts show that the quality of Islamic education is less of a serious concern for education managers, so that there are fewer students, and even to death do not get students. This educational institution is often "less attractive" for students and guardians due to many things, such as the attitudes and services of educators, heads, and employees, the learning process, and infrastructure that ignore the quality of educational services. This reality is sad because thus educational institutions have lost their great potential as a place of education for generations as the successors of national and religious civilization. This research focuses on the implementation of total quality management in tahfidz education in senior high schools, which is expected to become a wealth in itself amid the development of the implementation of quality education services in Indonesia. Especially at the level of Islam-based high schools, which are concerned with the integration of science in aspects of Islam (Islamic studies), as well as social science and natural science. Can be an inspiration for the development of Islamic high schools in Indonesia. This study is to describe the implementation of total quality management in tahfidz education at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Ponorogo. Tahfidz education as one of the advantages at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Ponorogo will be seen from the Total Quality management cycle (Pland-Do-Check-Action/PDCA).

The purpose of this research study is to examine the Implementation of quality management systems in Iranian hospitals with particular emphasis on the role of top management commitment and leadership on quality management (QM) in service organizations. Taking both private and public Iranian hospitals as cases, a conceptual framework based on the theoretical dimensions and the findings is proposed. This study explores how contextual factors influence the implementation of Quality Management (QM) practices. It contributes to the contingency theory of quality management effectiveness. The analysis empirically examines the internal fit between QM and organizational structure, organizational culture and top management commitment as well as its external fit with environmental uncertainty. How these factors affect the implementation of quality management is also considered. Data were gathered from four hospitals from semi-structured interviews with hospital leaders, hospital managers and other staff who dealt with the implementation of quality management, fundamentally through semi-structured interviews. This was supplemented by document analysis. This research study demonstrates both internal fit and external fit affect implementation of quality management; however, top management commitment has a significant role in quality management implementation. Additionally, the findings offer insights for managers to customize quality management programs to achieve optimal performance benefits. This thesis makes an original contribution to the literature in integrating a contingency approach to quality management with an emphasis on distributed leadership as an approach to facilitating effective quality management in a hospital context.
