Abstract
For Geographic Information Systems (GIS),data sharing and free access is a necessary approach to improve its application.The Internet based distributive component development brings about a broad application field to share GIS information resources.This paper firstly introduces and contracts some software component model and their application in GIS development.Furthermore,a modified application model for Internet based distributive component development is also presented in this paper.
