Impact testing with controlled energy of multiaxial aramid fabrics with various types of reinforcement

The results revealed the increase of the maximal impact force and the total energy absorbed for all the samples compared to the unmodified Kolon fabric sample and the application possibilities of these materials for the antiballistic protection
Summary
Polimerni prah poli (vinil butiral), PVB, (Mowital B60H, Kuraray Specialities Europe) i apsolutni etanol (Zorka Pharma, Šabac) su korišćeni za pripremu rastvora PVB-a. Jedna Kolon lamina je sadržala 95 mas.% aramidnih vlakana i 5 mas.% poliuretana. Masa jedne Kolon lamine je bila 4,5 g i za impregnisanje se koristio 10 mas.% rastvor PVB-a u etanolu. Rastvor se mešao 10 minuta na magnetnoj mešalici zbog hidrolize AMEO silana. Maseni udeo ojačanja SiO2/PVB je bio 10 mas.% dok su maseni udeli WS2/PVB i MWCNT/PVB u oba slučaja bili 1 mas.%. Br. 4 - Kolon lamina impregnisana rastvorom AMEO silana i 10 mas.% SiO2/PVB rastvorom (Kolon/AMEO/PVB/10 mas.% SiO2).
