Abstract

Background An examination was driven on Impact of an educational program on knowledge among Biomedical Waste Handlers regarding Biomedical waste management Newer Guidelines 2016 in Krishna Hospital, Karad. Today health care providers and biomedical waste handlers are unaware of newer guidelines. There was intense need of training regarding newer guideline 2016 on biomedical waste management for Handlers for updating their work output and adoption newer guidelines for safe practice. Methods One group previously, then after the fact research design was used on 55 study subjects. The samples were selected through convince sampling technique. Previously, then after the fact knowledge assessed with educational program that is video teaching program and structure lesson plan. Results Study had been showed that before knowledge assessment mean score 10.96 and after educational program it was increased up to 18.72. P value
