Imam Shatabi's View on The Guidance of The Sunnah in the Problems of Faraa
Islam is a complete of life, basad on two main sources: the Quran and Hadith. These sources provide clear guidance on how to live according to Islamic teachings. The Quran's interpretation is reliable only when combined with the Sunnah and Hadith, as separating them would make the Quran incomplete. The Quran is a book of Allah's princinples and laws, which were explained through the Prophet (peace be upon him). If the Quran had fully covered all aspects of Islam, there would have been no need for additional revelations. The Quran gives general instructions, but many details are explained by the Prophet. For example, the Quran commands prayer but doesn't specify the times or methods, so we turn to the Prophet for clarification. Similarly, while the Quran commands zakat, the Sunnah provides the detailed rules for it. Allah has prohibited many things in Islam, but these rules cannot be fully understood without the Prophet. Just as understanding the Quran is essential to understanding Islam, understanding the Sunnah is necessary to fully grasp the teachings of the Quran.

This classroom action research was driven by the low learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri No. 102013 Sialang Buah in the subject of Islamic Religious Education and Ethics, particularly on the topic of Faith in the Book of Allah. Initial observations revealed that most students struggled to understand the basic concepts and demonstrated low participation during lessons. To address this issue, the study aimed to improve student learning outcomes by applying the Think Pair Share (TPS) cooperative learning model, which emphasizes student engagement through individual thinking, paired discussions, and group sharing. The research was conducted in two cycles, each comprising planning, action, observation, and reflection phases. A total of 24 students participated in the study. Data were collected through learning outcome tests, teacher and student observation sheets, and documentation, and were analyzed both qualitatively and quantitatively. The results showed that the implementation of the TPS model led to a notable improvement in student learning outcomes, evidenced by increased average test scores and a higher percentage of students achieving mastery from cycle I to cycle II. Additionally, student activity during lessons improved significantly, particularly in cognitive engagement and collaborative participation. These findings indicate that the TPS model is effective in enhancing understanding and fostering a more interactive and enjoyable learning environment. Consequently, it is recommended that the Think Pair Share model be adopted as an innovative and participatory approach in teaching Islamic Religious Education at the elementary level, especially for conceptual topics such as Faith in the Book of Allah.

Israiliyyat in Qur'anic exegesis refers to narratives and information derived from Jewish and Christian traditions that have entered into the interpretation of Qur'anic verses through the reports of early Muslim scholars, including companions and successors (tabi'in). This article critically examines the definition, classification, and position of Israiliyyat within the tradition of tafsir, as well as the methodologies adopted by scholars in dealing with such reports. Israiliyyat is categorized based on the authenticity of its transmission (sound or weak) and its compatibility with Islamic teachings (accepted, rejected, or suspended). While classical exegetes often used Israiliyyat to elaborate on historical accounts in the Qur'an, modern scholars tend to approach them with skepticism or outright rejection to preserve the purity of Islamic doctrine. The use of Israiliyyat presents a double-edged impact: it may enrich historical context but can also mislead the understanding of Islamic teachings if not critically verified. Therefore, caution in employing Israiliyyat is essential in Qur'anic interpretation to protect the integrity of Islamic beliefs and the accurate understanding of divine revelation.

Al-Mau’izah Al-Hasanah is among the three Islamic Da’wah Methods that uses rhetorical strategies in da’wah dissemination. The method is based on Surah An-Nahl verse 125 in the Qur’an. As the verses of the Qur’an uses an Arabic text, Muslim need to use Tafseer as a guideline to enhance their understanding and knowledge of Islamic teaching. This is because not all Muslims are specialists in the Arabic language, despite being able to read the Quran in Arabic. Tafseer Al-Azhar is an interpretation of Qur'anic verses written by Abdul Malik Karim Amrullah (Hamka) during his prison sentence. Hamka is an Indonesian philosopher who is also actively involved in teaching Islam through his country's educational system. The Al-Azhar exegesis book is notable for its use of rhetoric to explain the meaning of Qur'anic verses for Muslims' comprehension of the Arabic text of the Qur'an. The purpose of this research is to examine the rhetorical strategy employed in Hamka's Tafseer Al-Azhar. By referencing the exegesis content of Fatihah verses in Tafseer Al-Azhar, this study focuses solely on the rhetorical method of Al-Mau'izah Al-Hasanah. This study employed the qualitative method by analyzing the content of books and journals related to Tafseer Al-Azhar. The rhetorical material in Tafseer Al-Azhar is distinctive in that Hamka used rhyme and aesthetics language to convey the narrative of its interpretation. The purpose of this study is to understand the concept of emotion and its relationship with growth and to present a conceptual model of the path of emotion according to the verses of the Holy Quran, Tafsir al-Mizan (exegesis of the Quran, the balance in Interpretation of Quran) and the principles of transcendent theosophy. The method of this research is conceptual analysis. Findings show that the human heart is a place of emotion and cruelty of the heart can be effective in not receiving emotions and perceptions of the meanings of truth. Also, some emotions are related to the position of perception and non - adults to the position of expression and action. Some types of emotion are the same between adults and others, while some emotions are specific to a specific group of people. According to verses and exegesis, the intensity of emotion according to the type of emotion in some cases is a sign of maturity and in others it is a sign of lack of maturity. Also, emotions are one of the factors of self-preservation and in Islamic teachings, self-preservation is related to worldly and otherworldly life. It seems that in the field of expression and control of emotion, in addition to both conscious and unconscious forms, a third form is conceivable that God invests (imparts) or controls emotion to a person through reaching a position of faith and piety (righteousness, God-fearing) and the like. On the other hand, it inflicts some negative emotions on the infidels (kuffār) and polytheists, which is in fact the result of their disbelief and polytheism.

This study explores the dynamic interaction between Qur'anic exegesis (tafsir) and social change, focusing on how traditional and contemporary interpretations of the Qur'an influence modern Islamic practices. Utilizing a qualitative approach, the research analyzes primary sources, including classical tafsir such as Tafsir al-Jalalain and Tafsir al-Tabari, and contemporary works like Tafsir al-Mishbah by Quraish Shihab. The study employs hermeneutic text analysis to examine how these interpretations address issues such as gender equality, human rights, and modernization. Findings indicate that while traditional tafsir remains central in conservative communities, its limitations in addressing contemporary issues are evident. Conversely, progressive tafsir offers more adaptive interpretations that resonate with urban and educated Muslim populations. This divergence reflects the broader tension between tradition and modernity in Islamic thought. The study contributes to the ongoing discourse on how Islamic teachings can evolve to meet the needs of a changing world while maintaining their core values.
