Abstract

Image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT) is used to improve the precision and accuracy of radiation therapy. It requires expertise from radiation therapists, who make positional adjustments based on daily imaging and customized match instructions, and from physicians who evaluate these images for quality assurance. Practice variations currently exist on physician image review. At the University of Pennsylvania, a single physician is assigned to evaluate all IGRT films for the department, rotating on a daily basis.
