Background: BDNF is a protein, which is encoded by the BDNF gene, of the class of neurotrophins, which stimulates growth, differentiation, development, survival and renewal of neurons and synapses. Diabetic polyneuropathy (DN) is most common complication in diabetes mellitus (DM).
