Abstract

Identification of the elements of the system which comprises parallel branches of the Hammerstein type is discussed. In each of these a dynamic linear element follows a static non-linear element. In general this is shown to be possible within an arbitrary constant which takes the form of a matrix, and methods of realizing the identification are developed. Successful computer simulations of the identification of a number of such systems are presented. The effects of noise are considered and the simulations include those in which the data are noisy.
