Abstract
Enzyme synthesisin vitro directed by T7 heteroduplex DNA is observed when the H strand [the strand assuming the higher density in combination with poly(G,U)], carries the wild allele. This is true for enzyme synthesis mediated byE. coli RNA polymerase or by T7 phage RNA polymerase.
