Abstract

:Objective To studyiatrogenic vascular injuries and related ischemic complications in 86 out of 748casesundergoing minimally invasive neurosurgery. Methods 748 patients received tumorresection, AVM resection or aneurysmclipping. The data of surgical approaches, ischemiccomplications and follow-up records were analyzed and summarized.Results 29 patientsdeveloped postoperative cerebral infarction found by CT follow-up, and 57 had transientneurologicaldeficit. 9 patients died during hospitalization. No deterioration or deathoccurred during the follow-up period. ConclusionMinimally invasive neurosurgery is notatraumatic and may result in ischemic complications following iatrogenic vascularinjury.Measures should be taken to protect subarachnoid space, cortex and other vessels in theapproach.
