Abstract

Foot problems are almost ubiquitous in many forms of inflammatoryarthritis. Typically foot complaints have a significant negative impacton patients’ ability to undertake day-to-day activities of daily living andtheir psychosocial well-being. Reports suggest that the nature andimpact of foot problems is often underestimated, and this canadversely affect holistic management strategies. This presentationwill explore our current knowledge of the nature and extent of footcomplaints and their associated impact across a series of differentrheumatological complaints, highlighting some options to enhancecare and areas for further research.
