Abstract
Who is right? … No, whatever you say, democracy is coming into its own. One can breathe more freely and easily! As a wise man once observed, a lean freedom is better than a fat slavery. Anxiety and the eternal fear, which had become part of our flesh and blood, that some word you uttered would get to the KGB, are disappearing. One can imagine how many of our brother journalists and novice deputies would make the rounds of the camps for "anti-Soviet agitation and propaganda" if, God forbid, the old times were to return? We shall hope that they have irrevocably passed into oblivion.
