Abstract

A hydroxyl-enriched highly crystalline TiO2 suspensible photocatalyst was synthesized via a facile ethanol-controlled hydrolysis and following an in situ crystallization method. In the absence of any cocatalysts, the resultant photocatalyst displayed a clearly higher H2-evolution rate (622 μmol h-1 g-1) than the well-known commercial P25 TiO2 (190 μmol h-1 g-1).
