Abstract

The electrophoretic properties of WO 3/γ-Al 2O 3 catalysts prepared by the adsorption equilibrium method at pH values between 1 and 10 were studied. This study indicates the formation of a tungsten monolayer structure if pH values lower than six are used, and a multilayer structure if pH values higher than six are employed. Activity for the hydrodesulfurization of gas-oil shows that multilayer structure leads to higher activity than monolayer structure.
