Abstract

The analysis of Human Rights had always been an issue in the local and international political arenas for various reasons – the fact that there are various definitions to which it ought to adhere to given the various fields constantly change its accepted identity in the contemporary literature. Working on a literature review regarding how Human Rights had been defined in the field of International Political Economy, this paper would be providing a consolidated view to which Human Rights would be addressed accordingly in the field, identify which of the main actors indicated in the literatures – the state, society, market, and transnational actors – take precedence in addressing Human Rights. Moreover, the paper shall be providing critiques on the literatures presented, particularly with the various analyses to which Human Rights had been identified altogether.
