Abstract

This poster will describe the HPC Ecosystems Project, a primary responsibility of South Africa's Centre for High Performance Computing (CHPC), which targets HPC deployment and Advanced Research Computing capacity development within the borders of South Africa and internationally in African partner country research institutions. One of the objectives of the Project is to facilitate readiness in Advanced Research Computing for the upcoming exascale computing requirements of the world's largest radio telescope, the Square Kilometre Array (SKA), the bulk of which is to be hosted in South Africa's Karoo.
