Abstract

The close connection between the spin effects in hadron-hadron collisions and the quark wave functions in hadrons is demonstrated. In the framework of the additive quark model it is shown that the correct approach to the construction of the hadron wave functions at S → ∞ leads to the helicity flip interaction of hadrons in the s-channel even in the absence of such an interaction on the quark level. In the examples considered, our predictions agree well with the experiment.
